After receiving a few emails about this year's play, I just wanted to let all the teams know that there will be hard and fast rules next year for co-ed in terms of the HR rule, courtesy runners etc etc.
We'll get to all of it once next year comes but I just wanted to let everyone know that there will be changes in store for the 2010 season.

Well glad to see you are on top of it...tried to bring it up but you were already pissed at me from another topic(sorry). While we are at it how about making it a real co-ed league. At least 6 and 4 split, would love to see 5 and 5 but thats probally not going to happen lol This is supposed to be a co ed league and most teams are playing with 7 guys. When you do this it's easy to hide 3 girls on the field....makes you feel like you are playing a mens team with few women helping out lol. Just my opinion, if its a co ed league make it co ed all the way. Thanks Dennis and look forward to seeing how our relationship grows next year(for the better i hope) lol

Thanks Dennis. I too cannot wait to see the ruled for next season with HR/Runners etc.. I would hope that we can go with a 6-4 split as well. I would like to see it be a 5/5 but I think that might be too drastic a jump for most teams but if that can happen then I am all for it.

aa: as long as you're courteous, we'll get along fine;)
BTW, I, too, would like to see a cemented rule that would make the classification 5-5 in terms of man/woman but I don't know if teams would be able to find enough females to make this work on a week-to-week basis.
Maybe 6-4 is where it's going to land.
The rest of the rules will be carbon copies of how SPN co-ed handles issues such as HR and courtesy runners. I admit I have no idea what those rules are but I will know by next season:)

Sure you will find this out but SPN co ed rules have 3 total runners(male or female) and 1 homerun per team per game, not match plus, just one. Anyway as long as the rules are stated before hand then no team can object. They also say you must have 5 and 5 split, but sure in a rec league 6 and 4 split would be o k
